About PowerPoint Templates
A small library of ready-made PowerPoint starters: a startup pitch, a quarterly review, a project kickoff, a sales proposal, a lesson, a product launch, a status update and a conference talk. Each has a sensible set of slides with example text for you to replace, a colour scheme and font pair, and speaker notes that say what goes where. Download it as a normal presentation (.pptx), as a PowerPoint template (.potx) that opens as a new untitled deck, or open it in the Slide Deck Maker to fill it in without leaving the browser.
A .pptx opens as a normal deck. A .potx is a PowerPoint template: double-click it and PowerPoint starts a new untitled presentation from it, so you cannot overwrite the starter by accident. The .potx files are checked in LibreOffice and by the site's own consistency checks; they have not been tried in desktop PowerPoint. Fonts are saved by name, so a font that is not installed on the computer that opens the file is replaced.
- Can I use these for my own work?
- Yes. They are starter decks made by this site, with example text for you to replace. Use them for any purpose.
- What is the difference between .pptx and .potx?
- A .pptx opens as a normal deck. A .potx is a PowerPoint template: double-click it and PowerPoint starts a new untitled presentation from it, so the starter is never overwritten. The .potx files were checked in LibreOffice and have not been tried in desktop PowerPoint.
- Can I change the text and look before downloading?
- Yes. Open it in the Slide Deck Maker. It starts the deck from the template, and you change the text, the slides, the theme and your brand colour there.
- Is the example text real advice or real figures?
- No. It is placeholder text to show what goes where. Replace all of it, including the figures.
How to use PowerPoint Templates
Pick a template and press Preview and download to see every slide. Download it as a .pptx or a .potx, or open it in the Slide Deck Maker to fill it in.
When to use it
Useful when you have to produce a pitch, a review, a kickoff, a proposal, a lesson, a launch, a status update or a talk and want a structure and a tidy look to start from.
When not to use it
If you need your company's own template, take the .potx from your brand team or make one with the Template and Theme Maker.
Tips for best results
Open it in the Slide Deck Maker to change the theme and your brand colour, then replace every example line, including the figures.
Limitations
Eight templates, each with example text, a colour scheme and a font pair installed on most computers. The text is placeholder text, not advice. The .potx files were checked in LibreOffice and have not been tried in desktop PowerPoint.
Privacy
The template is built inside your browser tab. A request that counts the use goes to this site when you download and carries no content of yours.
