About Slide Deck Maker
Builds a complete PowerPoint presentation (.pptx) from what you type, in three steps: the title, look and layout; then the slides, each one a bullet list, two columns, a big statement, a section divider, a picture with text, key numbers or a closing slide; then a preview and the download. You choose a colour theme or use your own brand colour and fonts. The slides use real PowerPoint title and body placeholders, so Outline view, the Slide Master and the Reuse Slides pane work as normal.
Nothing is written for you: the slides contain exactly the words you type. Keep slides short; the text shrinks to fit a long list and the tool warns you when it may still not fit. Fonts are saved by name only, so use Calibri, Arial or Georgia if the file will open on other computers. Add alt text to pictures so screen readers can describe them. Charts, SmartArt, animations and videos cannot be made here; add them in PowerPoint afterwards.
- Does it write the slides for me?
- No. The slides contain exactly the words you type. The tool provides the layout, the theme and the structure.
- Can I edit the result in PowerPoint?
- Yes. The slides use real title and body placeholders, so Outline view, the Slide Master and Reuse Slides work as normal.
- Can I use my brand colour and fonts?
- Yes. Choose Your brand, pick a colour and two fonts, or use the colour and fonts from your Brand Kit if you made one in this tab. Fonts are saved by name, so the computer that opens the file needs them.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. Your text and pictures stay in your browser and are gone when you close the tab.
How to use Slide Deck Maker
Step 1: type the title, subtitle and presenter, pick one of three layouts and a look or your brand colour. Step 2: add slides of seven kinds, fill in their text, add pictures with alt text, and move them into order. Step 3: look through the preview, go back to change anything, and download.
When to use it
Useful when you know what you want to say and want a tidy, consistent deck quickly, in your brand colour, that you can finish in PowerPoint.
When not to use it
If you need charts, SmartArt, animations or your company template, build in PowerPoint. For a deck written as Markdown, use Markdown to PowerPoint.
Tips for best results
Keep a slide to about six short points. Use a section slide to separate parts. Add alt text to every picture. Use the speaker notes field for what you will say.
Limitations
Seven slide kinds and three layouts. Up to 60 slides. A long list shrinks its text and the tool warns when it may still not fit. Fonts are saved by name, so use Calibri, Arial or Georgia if the file will open elsewhere. The result has not been checked in desktop PowerPoint.
Privacy
What you type and the pictures you add are used inside your browser tab and are not uploaded. A request that counts the use goes to this site when you download and carries none of your content.
