About Event Tax Summary
Summarise tax charged on income and paid on costs by type and rate, in any currency. Information only
- Does this work in my country?
- It works in any currency and with sales tax, VAT or GST, using the rates you enter. It does not apply any country's rules, so it is a summary of your own entries.
- Is this tax advice?
- No. It is information only. Tax rules differ by country, region and type of sale. Check the figures with a qualified tax professional before you file or pay.
- What does Net mean?
- Tax charged on your income minus tax paid on your costs. A positive number means you charged more than you paid.
- Why is an entry missing from the totals?
- An entry marked as taxed with no rate has no tax counted. The tool lists these so you can add the rate.
- Is my data stored?
- No. It stays in your browser tab and is erased when you close it.
How to use Event Tax Summary
Enter income and costs with tax type and rate in the Receipt to Expense Sheet or Event Profit Ledger, then open this tool to read the totals and download a CSV or PDF for your accountant.
When to use it
Use it before you speak to an accountant, or when you need to see how much tax an event charged and paid.
When not to use it
It does not calculate what you owe, claim reliefs or file returns. Local rules such as exemptions and thresholds are not applied.
Tips for best results
Record the tax rate on every receipt and sale as you go, so nothing has to be rebuilt at the end.
Limitations
Entries in other currencies are not converted and are left out. Tax is only as accurate as the rates you enter.
Privacy
Nothing is uploaded or stored.
