What is this tool?
Calculates work experience duration in years, months, and days between a start and end date -- add multiple jobs to also see your total combined professional experience across all of them, useful for resumes, LinkedIn, or job applications that ask for total years of experience.
How to use it
Enter a start date and end date for each job (or check "Currently working here" to use today's date), and add as many jobs as you need. Each one shows its own duration, and the total combines them all.
Overlapping date ranges (e.g. a freelance job alongside a full-time role) are added independently, not deduplicated -- if two jobs overlapped in time, the total will count that overlapping period twice, which is usually not what you want for a single "total years of experience" figure. The combined total also uses a standard average year/month length to convert the summed days back into years/months/days -- converting a day count this way is inherently a little imprecise regardless of method, so the total may not perfectly match what you'd get by manually adding up each job's own individual figure.
