About Low-Content Book Interior Maker
Makes the inside pages of a notebook, journal, planner or sketchbook as a print-ready PDF: lined, dot grid, graph, checklist or blank pages at the trim size you choose. The inside margin is set for your page count and swapped on left and right pages, so nothing runs into the binding. Built in your browser.
Choose the trim size, the kind of page, the number of pages and the spacing, then press Make interior. Check the preview, then download the PDF and upload it as the interior of your paperback.
Keep lines light, around 25 to 40 percent, so writing stands out. Print platforms have their own limits on page count and margins, so check them for your book. Pair this with the cover template in the Book Spine and Cover Size Calculator.
- Which page types can I make?
- Lined, dot grid, graph squares, checklist (a box and a line per row) and blank pages, at any of the standard book trim sizes.
- How is the margin next to the binding set?
- The inside margin is at least your margin setting and rises with the page count to the usual print-on-demand minimums. It sits on the left of right-hand pages and the right of left-hand pages.
- How many pages do I need?
- Print-on-demand paperbacks usually need at least 24 pages, and an even number avoids a blank last side. The tool warns if your count is short or odd. Check your platform for its exact rules.
- Is anything uploaded?
- No. The interior is built in your browser.
How to use Low-Content Book Interior Maker
Choose the kind of page (lined, dot grid, graph squares, checklist or blank), the trim size, the number of pages and the spacing between lines or dots. Set how dark the lines should be and the margin around the page. Press Make interior, look at the preview, and download the PDF.
The inside margin next to the binding follows the page count and switches sides on left and right pages, so the pattern stays clear of the spine. You can make the first page a This book belongs to page with an optional title.
When to use it
Use it to make the inside of a notebook, journal, planner, sketchbook or practice book for print on demand, or to print your own notebook pages at a standard book size.
When not to use it
It makes repeating pages only. For a book with chapters and text use the Book Interior Maker, and for planners with dates, headings or prompts use a design tool. Platform rules on page count, margins and bleed differ, so check yours before you upload.
Tips for best results
Light lines at 25 to 40 percent print cleanly. For a dot grid, 0.2 inch spacing is a common choice, and for lined pages about 0.31 inch (a little under a third of an inch). Print one page at home first to check the feel before you order proofs.
Limitations
Pages are drawn without bleed, so patterns stop inside the margins. The page count is not rounded for you: print-on-demand books often need an even number and a minimum count, and the tool warns about both. Spacing is in inches and the patterns are plain grey on white.
