Label Sheet Maker
Print addresses or names on sheets of sticky labels (Avery-style Letter and A4) or your own grid, with a test page
3 across × 10 down, Letter paper. Check the code on your pack matches; if it does not, use "My own grid".
0 labels. Your text stays in this page and is never sent anywhere.
Print at 100% (Actual size), never "Fit to page". Do a test print on plain paper and hold it against a real sheet before using sticky labels.
About Label Sheet Maker
Prints names, addresses or any short text onto sheets of sticky labels (Avery-style address and shipping labels, US Letter or A4), or onto a grid you measure yourself.
Pick your label sheet, type each label (a blank line starts the next one), choose how many copies, and download the PDF. Print the test page on plain paper first and hold it up to a real sheet.
Print at 100% or Actual size. 'Fit to page' shrinks the grid and the text drifts off the labels. To finish a part-used sheet, set 'Start at label' to the first free spot.
- Which label sheets does it support?
- Avery 5160 (30 per sheet) and 5163 (10 per sheet) for US Letter, and L7160 (21 per sheet) and L7163 (14 per sheet) for A4, plus other brands that use the same layouts. If yours is not listed, choose My own grid and enter the measurements from the pack.
- Why do my labels print slightly off?
- Almost always the print dialog is scaling the page. Choose 100% or Actual size, not Fit to page. If it is still a little off, your printer has its own margin; the test page shows how far.
- Can I finish a sheet I already used?
- Yes. Set Start at label to the first free label. The first sheet begins there and any further sheets start from the top.
- How do I print many copies of one label?
- Type the label once and press Fill the sheet, or set Copies of each to the number you need.
- Is my address list uploaded?
- No. The labels are built in your browser, and the text is not sent anywhere or kept.
How to use Label Sheet Maker
Choose your label sheet from the list, or measure your own grid. Type each label, with a blank line before the next one (or switch to one label per line for a plain list of names). Set the copies and, if the sheet is part used, the label to start at. Download the PDF and print it at 100%, never Fit to page.
When to use it
Use it for address labels, return address stickers, shipping labels, name stickers, jar or folder labels, or any short text that needs to line up with a sheet of sticky labels. Print the free test page first to check the grid against a real sheet.
When not to use it
It does not look up addresses, merge from a spreadsheet, print barcodes or postage, or design logos and pictures on the labels. For a card with a logo use Business Card. For a courier's own label, use the courier's site.
Tips for best results
Print the test page on plain paper, then hold it against the label sheet in front of a window to check it lines up. Turn off 'Fit to page' in the print box. To use up a part-used sheet, start at the first free label.
Limitations
The sheet sizes follow the standard published layouts for the codes shown, and other brands that copy those layouts should match, but printers differ by about a millimetre, so always test on plain paper. Text is shrunk to fit down to a small size; a label that is still too long is cut off and the tool warns you. The most in one go is 2,000 labels. Sticky sheets with unusual shapes (round, oval) are not covered by the grid option.
Privacy
The text you type stays in your browser and is turned into the PDF there. Nothing is uploaded or kept, and it is gone when you close the page.
