About HEIC to JPG Converter
Drops in an image, PDF, Excel/CSV, Word, PowerPoint, HTML, Markdown or text file (not video, audio or SVG) and shows only the formats it can genuinely become — a PDF shows Word/Excel/JPG/etc. as real options, an image shows PDF/resize/crop/other-image-formats, and so on. Nothing is offered that isn't actually implemented for that specific file type.
Upload a file to see its real conversion targets, then pick one. Every step — the original upload, each edit (crop, resize, rotate, watermark, and more, depending on the file type), and the converted result — stays visible as its own separately downloadable stage, so nothing gets overwritten as you keep working. Continue editing or converting from any stage, not just the most recent one.
For Excel to JSON, the first row of the sheet is used as the field names, so remove any title row above your column headings first. If you're not sure this is the right tool for a specific, repeated task — always converting PDFs to Word, say — the dedicated single-purpose tool for that exact conversion (PDF to Word, in this example) loads faster and skips the extra "what do you want to convert to" step, since it already knows. This tool is built for when you're not sure what you need yet, or need to chain several different operations on the same file in one place.
- Is my photo uploaded?
- No. The conversion runs in your browser, so the photo stays on your device.
- Why does my photo come out as HEIC?
- iPhones save photos as HEIC by default because the files are smaller. Many sites and older programs only take JPG. In the iPhone Camera settings, Most Compatible saves JPG for new photos.
- Can I convert several photos at once?
- Yes. Choose Multiple files at the top of the converter and drop them together.
- Does converting reduce the quality?
- JPG is a lossy format, so there is a small change, usually not visible. Keep the original HEIC file if you want it exactly as shot.
How to use HEIC to JPG Converter
Drop one or more HEIC photos from an iPhone. The tool is already set to HEIC and JPG, so you can convert at once, or choose PNG, WebP or PDF instead. Download the result. Switch to Multiple files to convert a whole batch.
The converted copy is a normal image that opens on Windows, Android and in any editor or upload form.
When to use it
Use it when a site or program will not take the photo your iPhone saved, when a Windows PC will not open HEIC files, or when you need a JPG for a form, a listing or an email.
When not to use it
Phones can also send HEIC photos as JPG on their own: in the iPhone Camera settings, choosing Most Compatible saves JPG from then on. If you need the original quality kept exactly, keep the HEIC file as well.
Tips for best results
For a smaller file, convert to WebP or resize the JPG afterwards. If you have many photos, use Multiple files and download them together.
Limitations
The conversion keeps the picture but JPG is a lossy format, so a very small quality drop is possible. Live Photo motion and depth data are not carried over, and a photo saved with edits can come out looking as it was last shown on the phone.
Privacy
The photo is decoded and converted inside your browser tab. It is not uploaded, and nothing is kept after you close the page.
