About Run-of-Show Cue Sheet
Makes a run-of-show cue sheet for the crew: each item in order with its time, length, who is on, where, and the cue or note, with a tick box to mark it done. It flags overlaps and long gaps so timing problems show up before the day.
Use the schedule in your project or type it one item per line. Review the timing flags, then download the landscape PDF. Cue notes come from the Notes field of each session in your project.
Print two copies: one for the stage manager and one for sound and lights. Write cues in the Notes of each session, such as 'Lights down, play intro video'. Check every overlap flag before the day.
- What is a run-of-show cue sheet?
- A crew document listing every item of the event in order with its time, length, who is on, where, and what cue or action happens, so stage managers, sound and lights all work from the same timeline.
- Where do the cue notes come from?
- From the Notes of each session in your project. Write things like 'Lights down, play intro video' there and they appear in the Cue / notes column.
- What does it check?
- It flags items that overlap the one before, gaps longer than a number of minutes you choose, and items with no end time. Overlaps are also marked in red on the printed sheet.
- Can I tick things off on paper?
- Yes. Every row has a small box at the right to tick when the item is done.
- Is the schedule uploaded anywhere?
- No. The sheet is made in your browser and nothing is uploaded or kept.
How to use Run-of-Show Cue Sheet
Choose the schedule from your project or type one item per line. Check the counts of overlaps and long gaps, set what counts as a long gap, and download the landscape PDF. Cue notes come from each session's Notes in your project.
When to use it
Use it for events with a crew: conferences, shows, ceremonies and launches, where stage managers, sound, lights and hosts need the same timeline with cues.
When not to use it
It is not a programme for guests (use the Agenda Builder), and it does not run a live countdown or send cues to anyone.
Tips for best results
Write cues as short actions. Fix every overlap before printing. Give the stage manager their own copy and a pen for the tick boxes.
Limitations
Rows are shown in time order, one sheet page per day or more if long. Items with no end have no length. Cue text comes from the session Notes only.
Privacy
The sheet is built in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or kept, and the project is erased when you close the page unless you save the project file.
