What is this tool?
Converts 3D mesh files between the STL, OBJ, PLY, and GLB (glTF) formats, entirely in your browser, useful for moving a 3D model between different modeling, printing, or 3D web/AR software that expects different formats.
How to use it
Upload your 3D file, select the format you're converting from and to, and download the converted file, with mesh statistics shown before you commit.
GLB (binary glTF) is currently export-only here -- you can convert an STL, OBJ, or PLY file into a GLB, but not the other direction yet. This covers geometry only (positions and triangle indices, no materials, textures, or colors), since the source formats parsed here don't carry that information either. This doesn't cover STEP or IGES, which are full CAD-kernel formats that need different, more specialized software to handle correctly.
