About Business Days Calculator
Counts working days between two dates, or adds a number of working days to a date to find a deadline. You choose which days are the weekend and list your own holidays, so the answer fits your country and your company.
Pick Count or Add days, enter the dates, choose the weekend, and paste any holidays as dates (2026-12-25, one per line or separated by commas). The result shows working days, weekend days and holidays skipped.
Holidays differ by country, region and company, so you enter them yourself. Paste a year of them once and reuse the list for every date you check.
- Does it know my country's public holidays?
- No. Holidays differ by country, region and company, so you paste the dates you want skipped (one per line, as YYYY-MM-DD). Reuse the same list for every check.
- Can I change the weekend?
- Yes. Choose Saturday and Sunday, Friday and Saturday, Sunday only, or no weekend at all. A holiday that falls on a weekend day is counted as a weekend day, not twice.
- Is the start date counted?
- When counting, the start date is included and the end date is not, unless you tick Count the end date too. When adding days, day one is the next working day after the start date.
- Can I go backwards from a date?
- Yes. Enter a negative number of working days in Add working days to find the date that many working days earlier.
- Is anything stored?
- No. The dates are worked out in your browser and nothing is uploaded or kept.

When to use it
Use it for delivery and lead times, notice periods, payment terms, project deadlines and event countdowns where only working days count.
When not to use it
It does not know public holidays or time zones, and it does not count hours. For an exact age or a plain difference in years, months and days use the Age & Date Calculator.
Tips for best results
Decide whether the start day counts before you quote a deadline, and say it in the message. Keep a year of holidays in a note and paste it in each time.
Limitations
Holidays must be entered by you as dates. Half days and company shutdown rules are not modelled. Adding is limited to 10,000 working days.
