Mark and permanently remove sensitive content

Max file size: 50MB

What is this tool?

Permanently removes sensitive information from a PDF by drawing over it, then flattening that page into an image -- the underlying text and data are genuinely gone, not just visually covered. A simple black box drawn on top of text in most "redaction" tools doesn't actually delete anything -- the real text is still there in the file, extractable by anyone who copies it or opens the PDF's raw content. This tool avoids that by rebuilding any page you mark as a real image once the box is applied, so there's nothing left underneath to extract.

How to use it

Upload a PDF, click any page to open it, then drag to draw one or more black boxes over anything that needs to be removed. Pages with no marks stay exactly as they were -- still real, searchable text -- only the pages you actually redact get flattened.

Because a redacted page becomes a real image, its text is no longer selectable or searchable afterward -- that's the necessary trade-off for the redaction being genuine rather than cosmetic. Unmarked pages are completely unaffected.
