About Calorie Calculator
Estimates your daily calorie needs to maintain, lose, or gain weight, based on your body stats, activity level, and goal.
Enter your stats and activity level, choose your goal (maintain, lose, or gain), and your estimated daily calorie target is calculated.
Calorie needs are an estimate, not an exact number — treat the result as a starting point to adjust from based on how your actual weight trends over a few weeks, rather than a precise target to hit exactly every day.

- Should I hit this calorie number exactly every day?
- Calorie needs are an estimate, not an exact number. Treat the result as a starting point to adjust from based on how your actual weight trends over a few weeks, rather than a precise target to hit exactly every day.
- Why does a weight-loss target stop at a certain number?
- Loss targets are never set more than 25% below your maintenance calories, and never below 1,500 calories a day for men or 1,200 calories a day for women. When two loss goals would land on the same limited number, they are shown as one row marked capped. Eating below these levels should only be done under medical supervision.
