About Bulk QR Generator
Generates many QR codes at once from a list of URLs or text entries and downloads them together as one ZIP file.
Paste your list (one entry per line), choose size, colours and format, then click Generate. You get a single ZIP with one numbered file per code plus an index.csv that maps each file to its value. To name the files yourself, tick "Lines are name, value" (a line that starts with a comma has no name, and the comma is not put in the code). A note appears when a value is longer than about 300 characters, because such codes are dense and may not scan.
Keep the index.csv: file names are numbered in the order of your list, so the CSV is the quickest way to match each image back to what it links to. Batches are limited to 500 codes.
Watch: Bulk QR Generator in Action
- How do I keep track of which QR code links to what once I have a batch?
- Every download is one ZIP with numbered files (001-, 002-, ...) in the order of your list, plus an index.csv that lists each file with its value. If you tick "Lines are name, value", your own names are used in the file names too.
- How do I name the files myself?
- Tick Lines are name, value and write each line as name, value, such as Shop,https://example.com/shop. The text before the first comma is used in the file name, and the rest becomes the code. Without the box ticked, names come from the value itself.
- What is in the ZIP I download?
- One image per entry, numbered in list order with at least three digits, followed by a short name taken from the value, in PNG or SVG as chosen. There is also index.csv with the columns file, name and value, to match each image to its content.
- What is the maximum number of codes per batch?
- 500. If your list is longer, the page shows a warning and generates only the first 500; paste the remaining lines in as a second batch. Blank lines are ignored and exact duplicate entries are counted once, so they do not use up that allowance.
- Which error correction level should I pick?
- M, at 15 percent, is the starting choice and suits most screens and prints. L gives the simplest pattern. Q and H tolerate more damage, dirt or folding, at 25 and 30 percent, but make the pattern busier and therefore harder to scan when printed very small.
- Should I choose PNG or SVG?
- SVG is a vector, so it stays sharp at any print size and is the usual pick for posters and labels. PNG suits slides, documents and web pages, in 300, 600, 1000 or 2000 pixel squares. The PNG size menu is disabled when SVG is selected.
How to use Bulk QR Generator
To make event passes instead, choose Guest passes from my project: each guest gets one signed pass code (a random ID and a signature, never a name or email), named after the guest, and the QR Scanner can confirm it offline when you open the same project file. Type or paste your list into the box, one entry per line; each line can be a web address or any text. If you want your own file names, tick Lines are name, value and write each line as a name, a comma, then the value. Duplicate lines are skipped and the counter tells you how many codes will be made.
Choose Format, PNG or SVG (vector); PNG size from 300, 600, 1000 or 2000 px; and Error correction L (7%), M (15%), Q (25%) or H (30%). Pick the Code colour and Background, then press Generate ZIP. A preview of the first twelve codes shows above the button. The download, qr-codes.zip, holds one numbered file per entry plus index.csv.
When to use it
Use it when you have a list and each item needs its own code: tables or seats at an event, product pages for a shop, staff or asset labels, lesson links for a class, or posters that each point to a different page. The numbered names and index.csv make it easy to hand a folder to a printer.
When not to use it
For one code with a logo, a Wi-Fi login or a contact card, a single QR code generator with those options is the better route. This tool makes plain codes only, from text exactly as you typed it. It also should not be used for anything that must be tracked or edited after printing, since the codes are fixed.
Tips for best results
Keep index.csv beside the images: file names are numbered in list order and built from the name or value, so the CSV is the quickest way to match each picture to its target. Choose SVG for print because it scales without blur. Use H error correction if codes may get scuffed, but expect a denser pattern. Watch the contrast warning when choosing colours.
Limitations
A batch holds at most 500 codes; if you list more, only the first 500 are made and a note says so, so run the remainder separately. Each code has a four-module quiet margin and no logo option. An entry too long for a QR code can stop the run with a Generation failed message. PNG size does not apply to SVG.
Privacy
Your list is turned into codes by a library running in your browser, and the images and index.csv are packed into the ZIP on your own device. The text you enter is not sent to any server, which matters when the list holds private links or customer references. Only a plain usage tally for the tool may be recorded.
