QR Code Generator

How to use QR Code Generator

Type or paste the text or URL you want the QR code to point to — a website address, a plain message, contact details typed out as text, anything that fits as a string of characters. The QR code updates live as you type, so you can see exactly what you're about to download before committing to it. If you want a logo or small image embedded in the center, upload one — when a logo is added, the tool automatically raises the QR code's error-correction level to its strongest setting, which adds redundant data throughout the code specifically so it stays scannable even with part of the center visually covered by your logo.

Once it looks right, download the result as a PNG image. From there it's a normal image file — print it on a flyer, business card, or poster, or use it digitally on a website, in an email signature, or in a slide deck. The QR code itself doesn't expire or depend on this site staying available, since all the data it encodes is baked directly into the pattern itself; scanning it doesn't call back to freedailypro.com or anywhere else.

When to use it

The clearest use case is printed materials — a flyer, poster, business card, or product packaging where you want someone to quickly reach a website or contact link by scanning with their phone camera rather than typing a URL by hand. It's equally useful digitally: embedding a QR code in a slide deck or PDF that will itself be printed or projected, where a clickable link wouldn't survive the format, or as a quick way to share a link across devices without typing it (generate a code pointing to a page on your computer's screen, scan it with your phone).

When not to use it

If you need a QR code that encodes structured data a scanning app can act on directly — automatically joining a WiFi network, or importing a contact card into a phone's address book rather than just showing text — this tool encodes plain text and URLs only, not those specialized formats; a dedicated WiFi or vCard QR generator is the right tool for that specific need. If your downstream use requires a vector format (SVG) for large-format printing without any pixelation risk, this tool's PNG output is the wrong format — PNG is a fixed-resolution image, which is fine for most printed and digital uses but can show visible pixelation if scaled up dramatically larger than the downloaded size.

Tips for best results

Test any QR code with your own phone's camera before using it somewhere permanent or printed — it takes a few seconds and catches typos in the underlying URL or text before they're baked into a printed flyer you can't easily fix. For a code that's going to be printed small (on a business card, for instance), keep the encoded text as short as reasonably possible — a shortened URL scans more reliably at a small size than a long one, since less data means a visually simpler, less dense pattern.

Limitations

Very long text encoded into a QR code produces a visually denser, more complex pattern, which can be genuinely harder for some phone cameras to scan reliably, especially at a small printed size — for a long URL, a shortened link is often more reliably scannable than the full, long version. A logo that's very high-contrast, very large relative to the code, or placed with poor contrast against the code's own black-and-white pattern can occasionally still interfere with scanning even with error correction raised to its strongest level.

Privacy

The QR code is generated entirely in your browser from the text you type — nothing you enter is sent to any server to generate the pattern, and the download happens directly from your browser's own canvas rendering. Since the code encodes your text directly rather than a link back to this site, using it doesn't reveal anything to freedailypro.com about when or where it gets scanned.
